What I would like to know is where are buses supposed to lay over in the new bus station, are they supposed to just pull and here there and everywhere, at least the current station they can pull to the right of the stands, an un-connected point, what is it with CWaC's fascination on having a "living roof" will look awful when its dried out and dying on a summers day
No layover at all. It will be a joke. I will laugh more watching the buses in the new station then I would at a Tim Vine show

The idea of routing the 2 around Bebington certainly seems to have caught on as there are quite a few travelling on the new parts of the route. However, it's notable that quite a few people (myself included) who sometimes used the 2 through from Liverpool are now shunning it completely on the northern part of the route, as it's normally quicker to get a 1 or X8.
The roadworks in Runcorn won't have an effect on the X2 as it doesn't pass any. The only place really that it will is the weaver bridge junction in Frodsham, but only at Peak Times, when it's a nightmare anyway
26062 noted on the 2 last night, quick trip from Bebington station to the Village hotel was had around 7pm-ish, presume it was it's last run back to Chester, there were a couple of enthusiasts on it from hearing their conversation, anyone on here?

You are joing right? What about the likes of our service 1 with 20 min drop backs etc...there must be somewhere for buses to layover nearby if not in the bus station
Stagecoach depot for those buses. Other than that, nope. Like Birkenhead. No where to layover. In Chester, I think Arriva Wales will stick at the rail station for layover. Other than that, literally no bus parking. To be fair, that 20 min will be fine as that will be how long it takes them to get around the roundabout, into the bus station and do a 101 point turn into the stand. It is so tight, If one bus gets stuck for one minute, the queue will be around 5 buses long. All that because CWACC cant plan properly.
It will be freezing as it has NO GLASS OR ANYTHING. It has a 'living roof' so if rain comes straight down, we are ok. Any angle and we get soaked. That is how much CWACC care about its residents.
Move buses away from shops
Make buses terminate at Park and Ride sites
Reduce congestion
Something tells me the top two targets completely contradict the last one!!!!

There is glass as it's already been fitted around the end of the building opposite zest bathrooms, although it's not full height which as you say will be cold and wet as for the living roof it will look ok when green but will look awful in the summer when it's scorched
It isn the full way round. It is only the curve bit near cow Lane Bridge. There is like a waiting area but after that the glass is only normal handrail sort of height. Not how high it should be to keep us dry.

The glass round the curve at cow lane bridge end is considerably a lot higher although not at full height to reach the over hang of the roof, around the departures the glass will be considerable higher than normal handrail height similar to that of Liverpool one bus station.
The Chester Chronicle reports that the work will not finish until February with the station opening in march, which now coincides with the delayed completion to frodsham street following the company supplying the granite sets going bust! Overall a complete sham on the councils part
