The Echo had confirmed that The Open Organisers had said that 200,000 people where on the course today.
Certainly the '04' Tridents at Rock Ferry still be seem to be on school duties, I suspect when the tournament starts properly on Thursday is when more vehicles will be seen in use.

Don't know where the Echo gets that from, but the figure for any of the practice days would be a fraction of that. The figure for the whole week last time (2006) was only 230,000!
Cmt 21118 is here. 4 of the tridents went yesterday, 16234/5/7 here on schools

Haha the Echos not exactly known for its accurate reporting!
Vehicles seen in Hoylake for 'The Open' today, for completeness, I'll list them all here even if they're not allocated to Rock Ferry or Chester.
Park & ride north
17019/17176/17273/17491/18148/18149
park & ride south
17201/17272/17331/18147
'yellow' hospitality shuttle
17036/19032/19070
'green' press & tv shuttle
37127-9/47922 (47923 not seen)
Perhaps more visiting vehicles when the tournament starts properly tomorrow? here's hoping!

Park and Ride North and South Drop off same point or different point at Golf Course not Car park, I want to know make sure. I will going tomorrow. Hope this help.
No, they're quite a way apart, park & ride north drops off in Stanley Road, park & ride south drops off on Meols Drive, some way towards West Kirby and they don't meet with the park & ride north vehicles so there isn't one place to see everything, the media shuttles turn at the roundabout in Hoylake, as do the 'yellow' hospitality shuttles. Also, Arriva are doing the rail replacements between Hoylake & West Kirby.

Thanks for this, so I went last Monday and know Drop Off Point at Stanley Road turn to Barton Road then go to North Parade onward to Meols Parade (use P&R North) but I've not seen P&R South yet. I've already know Yellow and Green Route no problem at all.
Thanks for Help.
