First i have heard about the Vandal issue, If thats why Stagecoach Withdrew the 6 then they went the wrong way about it, they should of used the CCTV on the Bus to catch the people behind it and let the Police deal with them

The other reason was Stagecoach only did the Little Sutton to Ellesmere Port section of the 6 and not the full loop to Stanney Grange so a lot of the passengers stuck to GHA
The only vandalism on that route was a couple of buses had windows put in. Happened once or twice. As Chester285 said, GHA were not playing fairly, with some passengers actually getting on to it as well and boycotting them for the Stagecoach service.
I still think in Ellesmere Port and to a lesser extent Chester the public see them as the heir's to Crosville , even though there has been a few changes since them days .
Just seen the new X8 timetable on the Merseytravel website it states that the service will no longer serve the Bus Exchange, with all services commencing at Foregate Street with buses terminating at Love Street

The bus will also be picking up from outside Argos in Chester which is a long way down Foregate Street (Where Arriva Services drop off on the way to the Station)
Are Stagecoach trying to kill off this route???

No but they have still tried to cover all bases , they have had to limit the distance they travel into Chester to accommodate travelling to Chester Zoo and not to use any more vehicles on the route , the extra services to cover the section between Chester Railway Station and Chester Zoo maybe budgeted differently to the main service .
As mentioned previously, Frodsham Street is soon to be pedestrianised with Love Street being made into a one way road for buses only. Im sure that, once the new bus station opens, the X8 will be going in to there.

To be honest where the new bus station is going to be located is actually not going to affect the running times of the X8 much at all , that's if the X8 survives that long .
