Stagecoach seem to be the preferred operator by the R&A (Organisers of the The Open ).
I think they have a long term agreement in place.
Think they will have the same parking arrangements as per the 2006 Open.
Apparently some buses will be operating out of Chester as well for the open.
Did not think that Chester depot had the room to accommodate any extra vehicles , every time I see that depot its packed to the gunwhales with vehicles , even Rock Ferry can get rather packed at times , suspect Gillmoss will host some vehicles as well.

There's no long term agreement as such, but Stagecoach have built up an enviable reputation for delivering the public transport requirements that the R&A, and other partners, require for The Open Championship at its various venues around the UK. (and the R&A don't just go for the cheapest!)
It does help that they have operations in the vast majority of locations used for The Open, although last year they set up a temporary depot in East Lothian to provide the services at Muirfield, which was one of the few places they had not previously supplied the buses.
Also heard that First Scotrail preferred to work in partnership with Stagecoach to run the combined train/bus Golflink service last year, despite First Scotland East being the "local" operator.
28540 is now in Chester as Chester & Wirrals training vehicle.

Some of these buses also start or finish at Riverside Park in

I take it that page 16 of the timetable is the Sunday service from Bromborough to West Kirby, not the Saturdays as it shows. (Merseytravel's mistake?)
It looks like Megabus will be calling at Chester once again as of Tuesday morning.
My mistake there, it is actually tomorrow (Monday)
