3 darts should be arriving from hyde road today from what i was getting told by the stsgecoach inspector who is picking them up.
When is handover likely to be?
66704 is on the 42s, just seen it heading to Woodchurch around 16:40 in Bromborough.

Unconfirmed but reckoned to be 16th December. Given the Wigan handover is now officially this weekend, this does now seem likely.

Time will tell, did post it on the GM Buses groups before and was told it was a definite no to any Darts moving over this way.......but who knows, Stagecoach will more than likely have some cascades to put in over here, Wigan's now getting diverted brand new Enviro200 & Enviro300's (Enviro200's 36778-36791 & 27819 being one of 10 Enviro300's expected). I pass Rock Ferry depot most days so plenty of chance to spot something!
I really hope we don't end up with a load of Darts replacing the older Scanias.
I have such a bad feeling they will make the same mistake they made at Gilmoss at reduce capacity. When the current full size (older) single deck buses can't even cope, I hope we're not going to see a majority Dart fleet, especially when the 41/42 could probably sustain deckers in the day, and the 1/2 route could sustain deckers full time Monday-Saturday, so I hope at least large, full sized single deckers can be allocated.
The Stagecoach "Gold" brand would be absolutely perfect for the 1/2 routes.
D reg open topper been at Rock Ferry depot today. Saw it later on the A41 at Bromborough heading back towards Chester.
I've used the 1/2 reasonably enough for years, and I don't agree it needs deckers. The only Rock Ferry route where deckers are a necessity is the 471/472. You compare the loads at Rock Ferry with the likes of the 20/21, 82, 86 over the water and there really is no contest. Gillmoss routes are far more overcrowded and need to take priority in the capacity improvement stakes.
