Totally agree, in the last 10-years of riding City Sightseeing buses up & down the country, I have never known (or heard off) a standard bus being used.
Is the service 2 Chester - Liverpool not being operated as a double deck route during Phase 3 of the Liverpool Loop Line Renewal Work , as i have seen a few services today operating with single deckers.
What is the ruling with regards standing on vehicles in the Tunnels ?

As long as you're not on top of the vehicle it's the same as standard road regulations, standing on board a vehicle is allowed, and is regularly the case on some peak 487 services.
Noticed yeasterday that they had an X8 branded Enviro300 on the 2 .

It seams to be, the only thing I noticed this morning was there was an Avon bus still on the stand when the 200 arrived, it was good to see though the Stagecoach's MD and Chester's depot manager were on hand at the bus station.
