probably not as many as you think if they are operating the main service , dont forget the evening timetable will probably be a much more tightly timetabled service than the daytime service , less stops and less turnover times each end .
The evening service which was tendered only consists of 2 buses. Of which, 1 doesn't do much.
This is what was tendered:
Bus 1: 20:35 Crewe to Chester
Bus 2 M-Th: 20:05 Chester - Crewe, 21:25 Crewe - Nantwich
Bus 2 FriSat: 20:05 Chester - Crewe, 21:25 Crewe - Chester, 22:40 Chester - Crewe.
That Bus 2 still has a lot of dead mileage from Nantwich on Monday to Thursday and even more on Friday and Saturday from Crewe. can you see Stagecoach being happy with that in the longer term though .

Wouldnt be suprised if they add a commericial journey to stop the dead millage

Is the Sunday same as current times?

It won’t matter as dead mileage would have been calculated in the tender bid by stagecoach. It’s not Stagecoach paying out, it’s the local authorities.

No. It's 2 vehicles providing a 90 minute frequency, instead of 3 providing a 60 minute frequency. Also first bus from Chester is almost 2 hours earlier, while the first from Crewe is an hour later. Last from Chester is 45 minutes earlier, while last from Crewe is 2 hours later.

Based off the new Stagecoach timetable, it seems they are choosing to extend the 21:25 to Chester daily Monday-Thursday. Whether commercial or alternative bid to the tender, I don't know.

If you knew the timetable before yesterday you didn't post it here. Stagecoach only made the W7 announcement yesterday. The 84 had been known about for some time.
