I think a lot of tourist things appear to be coming back at the end of August. I know the Heritage Trams in Blackpool are back August Bank Holiday weekend.

They must certaintly be hoping the British Weather is going to be a lot better than it has been this summer.

Is this the same route as in previous years , i do know that the Sunday route was different but due to social distancing in the main shopping area by the Grovesnor Hotel that is discontinued.

Not quite as the service isn't serving the Market/Princess Street bus stop anymore.
You've also got the route change to no longer serve Frodsham Street. Admittedly that is due to the social distancing stuff though.

We've operated that journey since September last year under contract for Cheshire Council.

At the time it was called X2, but looking back through timetables it seems it went back from Halton Lea dead all the way to the depot.
Then at the end of April 2019 it changed to running in service as X2 from Halton Lea just as far as Helsby, before continuing back dead to the depot.
Then in September 2019, the current situation was established, running back to Chester as X30.
