if that happened i would use stagecoach a lot with a weekly being 13 pound 50 and valid in st helens, liverpool, birkenhead, chester, southport, preston and chorley, that to me would be a bargin and a great move by stagecoach
There will be no change in ticket boundaries resulting from the licence cleanup - it's purely an administrative exercise at the request of VOSA. Both Ribble and GTL licences are already under the same management (Merseyside & South Lancs) anyway.
You can already buy a ticket in St Helens that is valid in Preston; the North West Megarider Gold price at £26 for 7 days. This is valid on all Merseyside & South Lancs services, and Cumbria & North Lancs too.
Using that ticket you could get from Wigan via the 113, all the way up to Dumfries or over to Newcastle.
yea that i expected but its always nice to see a ticket extended to cover more of an area, we can dream :P
What you really mean is you want something for nothing....
For the area it covers, I think the Merseyside megarider is outstanding value. Expanding it to Preston etc would just be commercial suicide.
true thats why i said dream as i cant see it happening myself at that price

Cheaper than Arriva, and miles cheaper than First was.
Going to take advantage of the QBP's now!

It seems you are not alone. We had a right barney on the Stagecoach Manchester thread last night about the repaints at Wigan and the former Bluebird Middleton depots. The consensus definitely was people prefer the Blue front.

That MUCH MUCH MUCH BETA and I like it very much than other white and dark blue around headlights which I dislike look like ulgy. So I believe it stagecoach to rushed to repainted and back on service also they wanted expand stagecoach livery getted rid first group livery!!!! Today I've seen No 21236 MX05CKK on the way to Chester from Liverpool route 2.
It's not a case of depots rushing repaints, but just not bothering to ask how they should be done.
Hopefully when the Merseyside painters see 21236/7 they'll start to ask....
