Just in a Saturday what about the other 5 days of the week? nothing is certain the 6 is going to Rockferry the drivers seam to be under the impression it is but gilmoss are saying it's staying at Chester and that was as recent as yesterday as E208 WBG say me nothing is confirmed so until it happens we will have to wait and see

Mon-Fri it has earlier services. Saturday buses start very late.
I have a fleet list which was updated last month I think and it says that SC M&SL has quite a few buses which are sat in depots doing nothing. IT says 3 Eclipse (21236, 21252 and 21271) and the Enviro200 shorts (36071 & 36072) are also sat around. If this is the case, cant the Enviro200 shorts do 6s and Eclipse bump the X2 and 36 up? It also says there are a few flowline around. If the fleetlist is correct, why cant SC put these buses into good use. Old, yes, but they can still earn money. Surely any money is better than none.
For additional SC golds, cant they put non gold buses on and specify in the timetable that Gold buses will not be used like it does in the BP timetable. There has to be some buses somewhere that can be used.
Something else, can Gillmoss take 2 golds and then RF has space for 2 more buses. It is a little bit of dead millage. RF are like the operating centre still for them and they can do the recovery and then RF can just send another bus up there but the difference is that RF will have more space. Same with the 471/2 as that will free up a little bit of space.
From what was said on another group, the E200mmcs currently at Rockferry are destined to head to Chester in exchange for the normal Enviro200s this then standardises the fleet not only for service, but for the engineers alike. So RF have one style of Enviro 200 and Chester has the other, whether this happens remains to be seen

Supposedly, all new Stagecoach buses are allocated to specific services (never mind Depots) based on a business case provided by local management.
(09/08/2016 19:59)Dentonian Wrote: [ -> ]I'm afraid your fleet list is out of date; 36071/2 have transferred to Yorkshire; 21271 to Grimsby (or wherever the rest of the 09 regs went) and 21252 has been sold out of the fleet. If based on the company's own Fleet Card it should also be remembered that buses in reserve "on paper" often remain in service well after their supposed withdrawal.
I don't want to repeat similar agruments (on another thread) about swapping routes round willy-nilly, but apart from anything else, you have to train drivers on new routes, and you can't just transfer drivers from one depot to another permanently at short notice, like you can with an inanimate object like a bus. Apart from anything else, new schedules have to be written and agreed. Also, as regards non-Gold on Gold services, that would be very negative from a marketing point of view, with newly won over customers (if there are any) left less than impressed.
Ahh, Ok, thanks for that update. I personally dont see why you cant just move a driver over and a bus to then get more space for other buses. Non-gold on gold shouldnt be too bad if it is advertised. For some if it is a case of it gives an additional bus or if it was ran short over a more busy section of the route and was numbered 2A or something like that. I know the reserve list can be used in service but the fact they are reserve means that normal buses should be able to cover it sufficiently.

Oh my goodness. Them going round Lache. Dont want to offend anyone but surely that cant end well judging by the reputation. If they moved darts to the 16 and put MMCs on like 51/53 and on 7/8/9 then that seems ok.

Not to put a spanner in the works - but have they actually moved? Last I was aware of was Yorkshire's expression of interest. I've yet to hear anything of an actual transfer (and Yorkshire is pretty well covered by enthusiasts, including the AOM at Chesterfield)

36072 has definatly left RF about 2 weeks ago but could have joined 36071 at Gillmoss...36072 has however been repainted
I've today heard that chester285 is right and the 5 mmcs are to go to Chester with 5 Enviro200s coming our way.
Regarding the 09 plate eclipses, 21267 is still in Birkenhead parked up. 21261 is still undergoing accident repair and repaint. 21236 is also at Rock ferry however is in use.
