If you read between the lines the Blacon Pointer services never got touched , so if they clean up the Wirral services the QBP routes wont be touched , which dont leave much to fiddle about with .
The 38 and 41/2 are the only ones that can be tinkered with .
I would love to split the 41/42 back to Birkenhead - Mill Park and reintroduce a service from Woodchurch - Birkenhead . What seems to be happening regularly particulary on a Saturday at the moment is that 41 and the following 42 seem to be catching each other up , which means somewhere there is a 20 minute gap. A shorter route route means these gaps shouldnt appear as regularly.
same with the 38 they should operate around post sunlight but im sure they could so variations like in chester so they serve more places

They can't do that to the 1/2 without consent from Merseytravel, Cheshire and Cheshire West Council, and Arriva all agreeing to the changes
I wonder how this will affect Foregate with regards to traffic, I can imagine some elderly residents will be complaining alongside Chester market about how these changes will effect market patronage, as per the bus station disruptions a few months ago.
It will be a shame once the new shopping centre is constructed on the site that less local bus services will call there.
You have to remember though that any change to a QBP route has to go to statutory consulation with the authority (Merseytravel), and other operators/stakeholders, so any changes there are more of a long-term aspiration.

To be honest the 38 could operate a one way loop around Port Sunlight and New Ferry , it allows both places to be served . First tried and couldnt make it work coming into Port sunlight though.
