I've just seen someone on Twitter saying one of the mistakes Stagecoach made with the X5 was running double decker's on the route from the start even though it was only carrying a small number of people.
On average and figures are estimates double deckers return around6 miles per gallon against single deckers around 9mpg.

I’m pretty sure it’s about 50% more than the figures quoted here for Euro 5/6 vehicles.
Arriva speke used to have a board of their fleet with facts about the buses and the commanders were 12-14mpg (the best mpg) compared the the Volvo renown’s which were about 6mpg (the worst mpg).
18156 parked up at Kirkby Bus Station. Any ideas what that's used on?

It tends to do the C1 (Netherfield Road - Cammel Lairds) in the morning, then becomes the Kirkby spare bus in the day (covering any late running 20/21s, so it covers the Tower Hill/Netherfield Road end and the late bus goes straight back into Liverpool on time so no lost mileage) then in the evening it does the C1 again.

Addmittedly i don't see it every day, but today (10 October) was the first time I have seen the X5 entirely single-deck operated:- (24119/23/24/78 in late morning / early afternoon. )
Do Gillmoss still have the coaches that were used on the X5?

I've seen on the bus tracker today that PX04 DPV has been in the 86 most of the day today, is it now meant to do that route or was it just covering?
