I've not seen a posting regarding vehicles being ousted though, do you have a link?
Here you go Barry - I think
this is the post on another forum Dentonian was referring to
Would I be right in assuming this batch will be numbered 10811-10843?

A relative of mine is a good friend of a Gillmoss driver who told him some time ago that a lot more new deckers were due. At the time, I thought it was just wishful thinking but it would seem that this rumour has legs.

Cheers for that, never seen that forum before! I would assume they would follow on from the Cambridge batch.....
10799 amd 10800 have arrived at Gillmoss with Cambridge park and ride branding on.
From what I saw the 19 was all double decker yesterday morning, obviously because of last nights football.

Surprised that Stagecoach has not only expanded on Merseyside through purchase of First Chester and Wirral but, more so, also that they have so few deckers unlike Manchester. You would have thought that it would have bought a few independents to expand operations and be able to compete throughout most of Merseyside. Not backward in other areas in expanding (Sheffield, Nottingham etc.).
There are no Merseyside independants worth buying, most of their routes are Tenders (Including Avons as most of theirs are still part funded)

There's not really any places in Merseyside for Stagecoach to expand
The amount of double deckers in the Stagecoach M&SL fleet has increased significantly recently. No less than 65 Enviro400s were ordered for Gillmoss in the 2016/17 order - that's an excellent investment and it provides a massive increase in capacity in Liverpool on some of its busiest routes
I wonder is this as the deckers have been so useful - they often have to alter the allocations when there is football on to keep the deckers on what are likely to be the busiest routes. With yet more due this should make it possible to have deckers on such football routes but without other routes losing out as such when this happens in the same way.
