I've finally managed to capture a bus on the tendered 500 working, being ADL Dart SLF PX55 EFN last night, there where actually about 6-7 people on it too!

Read on the VOSA notices and proceedings recently that this journey is switching over to ACE Travel from 27th January.

The ACE Travel journey is in addition to the Merseytravel journey, departing at the same time - see Merseytravel website.

Wouldn't that be effectively competing with a contracted service as the Ace Travel one is commercial?

My mistake - have just seen the new timetable and yes both journeys leave the Airport at 2350 - it appears to be a way of ACE getting a bus off the 181 nearer to depot more profitably possibly although if there is only minimal passengers using the Stagecoach, I can see 2 busloads of fresh air making their way into the City Centre at the same time.

34793 is on the 10A this evening!

to point out tho the ACE bus will take a slightly different route (see the timetable)
