24119 does have X5 branding also.
No sign of 24120 at all though as yet.
Of note Dart 34813, one of those from Chester, has been out on X3 this week.

24120 has just been displaced at Carlisle by re-engined MAN 22878.
So perhaps it may transfer soon.

I believe this was a swap for 36822
A few other odd ones today were 36821 on the X3 and 24130 on the 217/227

From 21st July, the X5 is being rerouted in Liverpool City Centre and Widnes. In Liverpool, the service will now operate via Park Lane instead of Wapping and Chaloner Street. Stopping points have been added on this part of the route. In Widnes, the service will operate via Ditchfield Road and Coronation Drive in place of a section of Hale Road

The timetable is up on the Merseytravel website too, with most journeys operating a few minutes earlier. The changes might make it a little bit harder to keep to time, particularly as there will usually only be 1 minute at the Widnes end before the return trip.
