It is clear that the age of a vehicle is no indicator as to the likelihood of it suffering a serious (tow-away) breakdown. I remember many years ago seeing an AA van attending to a day old Rolls Royce. As a matter of interest, was a replacement bus sent out? AFAIK the 17 is a 30 minute frequency during the evening.
I didnt notice to be honest, the Stagecoach fitter was there first and obviously couldnt rectify the problem so RNW was called, with it being so late I would wonder if there was any spare vehicles and drivers knocking around then I would have thought most would have finished and there would be no relief drivers in the depot, even so by the time they called one from the depot and got into town it would probably be a good hour by which time most would be passengers probably gone home other ways. What would have been good customer service would have been maybe sending a little minibus or taxi along the route telling anyone waiting and picking anyone up who was left stranded
53/A returned to a good allocation of Enviro300's today, an unusual allocation was 24137, rare you see a MAN working that route.
Is there any reason in particular as to why the MANs aren't on the 10A any more?
In the past six months I only recall seeing one on there in the evening, other than that they're a very rare sight.
One of the ones branded for the 20 was on there yesterday, too far away to ID unfortunately.

Unusually 'save our bus lanes' MAN 24153 was on the 10C today
21121 was on the 19 also
10A-branded Enviro300 27718 was on the 53 today!
Unbranded 27712 was on 10A, think somebody got this the wrong way round.
Back to mostly Darts on the 53 today by the look of it. I saw at least five this afternoon and not one Enviro300. 34743 left town with an early afternoon journey with a full standing load. Nice work, Stagecoach.

27772 and 27775 were on the 53 somewhere, but it's a shame to see that Plaxtons are becoming a normality again - especially when the service could do with a 'decker at times (which Arriva have provided on occasion during the past week).
