63 reg enviro 300's are for the South Liverpool services 82/86/86c which call at Liverpool One Bus Station and operate down Hanover Street. Very few (unless on the wrong route) will pass through Queen Square, with the exception of the Dale Street morning journeys to downtown Liverpool

Ah thank you! This means I can ride one with an Arriva Daysaver. I am prepared that it may make it harder to locate a Trident. I saw 1 or 2 on their 86 routes last May.

Mind you, a look at Flickr suggests it just operates Darts. The first batch, 27701-22, some are unbranded, some for the 20/21, some for the 14 and a few for the 10. 27768-80 are unbranded but seem to mostly work the 53 up to Crosby, the new batch 27886-90/2-905/25 mostly work the 82/86, although did see 27894 on the 53 a couple of weeks back.

This is quite an elegant subdivision of batches. I rode an early one on route 10a in February last year. I had read about some on route 53 (which was my first Stagecoach ride in Liverpool back in 2006 but I digress). I always felt that Darts on route 82 looked inadequate, despite Arriva route 82a to Runcorn using Cadets.
Well, truth be told, Enviro300s are also inadequate for the 82/86/86C, but that's another story. The Tridents aren't too hard to track down since the new arrivals, Metroline. There were at least five on the 86 and 86C on Thursday, and often one or two pop up on the 17 and 19.

This suggests that Tridents do not often reach Kirkby except on route 19. My visit last May when I saw some was on a Saturday. In practice, I reckon their interiors will be similar to the handful with Stagecoach in Stockport.
Caught up with 80022 today, must admit I was surprised to see it out being Easter Sunday......

At Liverpool South Parkway after arriving with a 82.

80022 was on the 86 and 82 routes again today. It offers a very smooth and comfortable ride with a bright interior, with only some minimal squeaking downstairs to grumble about. This bus is a huge improvement on the Darts, Tridents and Enviro300s the 86/82 usually gets.

Was quite surprised I caught this myself when waiting for the 82 early this afternoon , much quicker than I thought. It would be nice if E400H's such as this example were considered in future for routes such as 82's & 86's as much as new Enviro300's have already been delivered
S102 TNB was on the 86 earlier, just before lunchtime.
