Book value on them is £3-4k, so virtually nothing (though a long way above scrap). There's no value in cascading them around just to replace 53/04 plate darts.
17272 and 17745 are parked up in Gillmoss now. Musnt be needed in Chester anymore

Doubt it - maybe it's because the schools are off at the moment for 2 weeks so deckers aren't necessarily needed, and with the Grand National rail strike looming, won't Stagecoach be looking to maximize their potential revenue on key services north of Liverpool?

I'd imagine 17272 and 17745 will be used on the Aintree shuttle bus service and then go back to Chester at the end of the holidays
According to Steven Knight Media 34803/5-8 are now in reserve which IIRC leaves just 34804 in use here

34803/4/6/7/8 are all still in use. Havnt seen 34805 at Gillmoss for a couple of months now.
29880/2 are now withdrawn and sat in Gillmoss along with 17272 and 17745 from Chester

Poor bus! I think I was one of the last to drive this on the original 6 month 192 emergency contract (before it was run as 217/227/192s last April) - I had it all week, by the last day it was withdrawn (so I had 47712) and I never saw it go out again!
