I wonder whether Gillmoss are putting deckers on some workings on 10A now due to capacity issues in the run up to Christmas, I know that on Saturdays Diamond Northest have got a decker out on 300s now and according to someone I know there its to help out loadings on 126/132s.

Too Good for bus enthusiasts coming down to Liverpool to watch out MMC for Cambridge.

The timing would fit in with the Wirral line closure, although Arriva are doing that.....could they be sub-contracting some of it to Stagecoach....or could Stagecoach be enhancing capacity on their own cross-river routes for the duration of the Wirral line closure? An interesting one anyway....the MMC's still have to start operation in Cambridge in February and the Wirral line closure is 3/1 to 12/2.

All things are possible especially Arriva sub-contracting rail replacements. Unlike Stagecoach, Arriva doesn't have the manpower or vehicles to cope with a full closure of the line, even with the new Wright BL5H's on delivery. Either way, it will be an enthusiast's delight in January which can't be said for Wirral line commuters.

Absolutely, personally looking forward to it myself, intend to be out with the camera for much of it when I can, and with the Open Golf back in the area at Birkdale in the summer, plenty more interest to come!
34742/5 are still in Gillmoss.
They were ready to go, musnt of made it. 34742 has panel off front removed now. That bus has been a pain for some years regarding reliability.
Ferryhill Motors Enviro200 FM36 MX14FUP is currently on loan at Gillmoss - it was on the 10A yesterday.

I do find it odd that a company as big as Stagecoach occasionally have to rely on hiring in spare vehicles from Ferryhill Motors to maintain its services. Surely it would be easier and cheaper to borrow vehicles off sister companies. Just a thought, is Ferryhill in any way linked to Stagecoach or Sir Brian Souter?
I have just looked at the reg on Google and quite a few pics of it in Manchester with Fm36 as its fleet number. It is plain white with a Stagecoach logo on.
