Gilmoss is currently in the middle of receiving 20 Enviro 300's, some of which have already entered service.

Also I heard a rumour, that Gilmoss maybe getting some extra deckers! I suspect that this rumour started after various members, reported that deckers have been tried on various routes including in service trails.

I thought it was 20, but knew it wasnt 25, don't know anything about the deckers and that is probably a wait and see. No doubt somebody will know for certain somewhere though.

As said before deckers should really be on 20/21 and if Arriva weren't on the 14's they would be absolutely essential on that corridor. If we got an ideal world I reckon GM should have deckers on the 10A, 20/21, 82's and 86's with everything else (except contracts) full size single decks. But as has been said case of wait and see on this/what's the harm in SC trialling a Enviro400/E400H on the 20/21?
I think the 20/21 should be absolute priority - deckers are essential now to cope with the loads on one of Merseyside's busiest bus corridors. There's the 10A as well but I'd say if anything more of the blame lies with Arriva who have the lion's share of this QBP but persist with Pulsars.

Manchester might be releasing some Enviro400s in a few months time when their latest batch of 38 hybrids arrive. Obviously Gillmoss should be benefiting from at least some of these but something tells me they won't. I can't see any further deckers for Gillmoss any time soon apart from for school contracts.
The Darts Interior layout is better than the Enviro200 /300s in my opinion. On busy services the positioning of chairs and luggage bays and wheelchair places make people congregate towards the front more than on the darts. I also wish they didn't have the Enviro300's with the voith gearbox. I much prefer the Allison gearbox on the dennis busses. Far quieter and smoother
The Darts do rattle quite a lot, GM should get more deckers for the 82\86 Arriva have them on every board apart from when the single deckers occasionally sneak onto it

It would be nice to see Enviro400's on the 20/21's. Like you I don't think this will happen.
At least six 63 plate Enviro300s are now in service with another two ready to enter service

Dart interior for me is far too cramped tbh , like yesterday we had a standing load on the 82 with a Dart main problem is there is no room to turn, a guy with a medium sized back pack was hitting people with it as he tried to sit down, I do agree with the Allison bit like as much as the 13-63 plates are so far very smooth.. However the sooner the Darts go the better as bar small contracted routes they are wholly inadequate for GM only for stop gaps. Would be nice to see more deckers but as many have said just a case of wait an see
I would say that any Enviro400s for Gillmoss are more likely to come from within Merseyside & S. Lancs than from Manchester....
