Be interesting to know the route and whether it may take passengers in Skem from Arriva

From my understanding it replaces the 97 in Kirkby then down the M58 coming off near Skem

Possibly will take passengers from Old Skem to the Concourse. Stepping on Arriva's toes. May work well for Stagecoach if that works as well as being less time if going from Skem to Queen Square and change bus in Kirkby. Need a packed lunch on the Arriva 310 from Skem to Liverpool

Shocker allocation today, Mercedes Sprinter 44024 BV66GUK has been in passenger service on route 97 (Kirkby Circular)!

Next bus in for repaint preparation is Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC 10541 SN16ONG

I'm sure the St Helens - Southport route was numbered 319. I rode it in 2006.

It was indeed. Very long history. Originally Southport - St Helens - Warrington before deregulation, then after dereg, North Western had a Lancashire tender between Rainford and Ormskirk, ABC took it over in 1989 and extended it to run Southport - St Helens, the route survived various takeovers/company changes, then Fairway Travel ran a competing service, what was then Stagecoach service was eventually withdrawn, the Fairway cut it back to St Helens - Ormskirk and eventually ceased trading and thus ending the route.
