Repaints into new local livery continue, latest done is 24177 PO59MXL which was repainted at Rock Ferry - 24179 is currently being prepared for repaint

Cheers for that, it was early when 10577 went past (and had been up since 0400 so wasn't at my most observant!)...one to look out for with the camera in the next week or so....
Looking at where the Gemini is parked are we right in thinking that its days are numbered shame if it is as you could have sneaked it out on your 217/227s.

That would be nice haha

I think 16957 is just in for work as they have been putting buses on the back wall that are being worked on recently. Baby MAN 39690 is also on the back wall too, another bus I wouldn't turn down a drive of!
16957 is at Gillmoss for MOT and i presume the same for 39690.

Ah thank you, I wasn't sure why they were here, other than it was how engineering.

There was an ex Gold Solo, 47514 I think here during the week too getting something done to it.
Are the Dennis Trident ALX 400's returning back to service? Haven't seen any moved in Months.

I doubt it sadly - they were brought in for ex Halton school contracts that have mainly gone to other operators since, however, you never know if in September they could be be required again
24136, the former BeNiceBus, has been on the road most of this week - first few days in service in almost 3 years!

24168 looks like it will be next to get repainted - 24179 is in the process of being painted
That 24136 must be quite fresh having not done a whole lot for a while. Funny how GM seem to get on with their man's whilst some others around the country don't.
Next repaint to get done will be 24160 - rubbed down today and sent to Rock Ferry - 24168 should be back from Rock Ferry soon too after repaint.

24179 is painted now at Gillmoss too so should be out soon after finishing touches

A member asked about Darts and Tridents earlier in the thread and much to my surprise they do appear to all be going into the pits one by one to be checked over with a view to use on schools. 34809 is even having a rear end repaint, though staying in beachball livery!

Scania N230UD/Enviro400s 15589-15592 are leaving Gillmoss this weekend to go to Stagecoach Yorkshire (Barnsley), part of a swap with some gold Scanias coming this way (presumably for Rock Ferry) then other internal swaps within MCSL which are as yet to be confirmed. Of these 15590 made its last trip in service on Tuesday night on the 217A, much to the delight of the driver as it was their only drive of this bus Wink

Not sure if it is reported elsewhere but Gillmoss start operating the Edge Hill University bus EL1 from September too, a service previously operated by Diamond Bus
