This is meant to be about Kirkby Bus Services but is primarily Stagecoach it will effect so I've posted it here.

Proposed changes to services around Kirkby from July

Various notable ones including withdrawing routes 23 (Peoplesbus/HTL), 99x Kirkby Circulars (Stagecoach) and 897 (HTL) but extending/revising X3 to Kirkby Admin to cover part of the 23, 197/198 renumbered 97/97A/98/98A and covering various other bits, and 192 withdrawn and replaced by evening 217/227 extending to Halewood and covering 897 on its way!

The 217 change is over ten years too late. It should of happened years ago.

I would of argued however that the 217 should of served Page Moss with the 227 operating via longview seeing as the 217 has operated via Page Moss since Merseybus and the 227 was an early 2000's GTL creation

I guess that is done that way as 217 serves Kirkby Admin too so apart from Wilson Road in Huyton it replaces the entire 897 route as well.

Is the redevelopment of Kirkby Bus Station completed? Or when is it likely to end? With Stagecoach being the main operator here and as I'm rather short on Stagecoach Merseyside on my flickr, it's a fleet I'd like more pictures of.

I saw Dart SF04VTZ heading up Mackets lane on Friday out of service but with a few drivers aboard so it must have been route learning for the 217/227. Will be great to have it back in Halewood again.

Be great having the 217 going back to the City Centre, but alas doubt that'll be happening anytime soon.Sad
