The origin to destination would indicate a unit drag. A 769 cometh?
Here's a short video of class 769 being tested.

Surely if it's a functional 769 there's no need for it to be dragged.

Loughborough to Nuneaton is not electrified.
37884 hauled 319450 this afternoon from Wolverton to Loughborough for 769 conversion.
A busy weekend in the Liverpool area and Northern have excelled themselves again - it's been confirmed that on Sunday, Wavertree Technology Park, Broad Green will only be served by rail replacement bus (or they advise people that tickets will be valid on Arriva buses of comparable routes), Also services to Wigan will only be hourly due to Conductor shortages. This along with the reduced service on Saturday due to industrial action and also some cancellations the evening due to staff shortages, words fail me as to how bad this franchise has become. Cue even more bad press regarding overcrowded trains and reduced services - I think we can say it's not the best advertisement for the area's public transport.

Whole point of the 769 conversion is so it can run on its own power even if the full route isn't electrified.
I arrived back at Manchester Airport late in the evening on Monday. I caught the 23.46 from the Airport as far as East Didsbury on a train continuing to Blackpool North. Before it pulled in they promised it would be a 4-car train. I hoped it would be a 319, especially as it was non-stop from Manchester to Preston avoiding Bolton, but it was a double 156 in the end. For good measure, they were both in purple defunct Northern Rail livery.

It looks like for some reason that service is operated by the units which spend the day on the Liverpool-Warrington-Manchester Airport services which end up being sent to Blackpool sidings for the night, rather than Allerton.
