The latest arrival at Allerton is 319458.
I don't mean to sound picky when I ask this but did it arrive under its own power or was it towed.

Only reason I ask is because if it arrived under its own power and had any issues on route then the driver would have been able to inforn the depot unless the depot had already been informed of any problems with the unit.
I do not know the answer but it is normal for units new to the depot are normally brought up by a Class 37. That is not a picky question!
It was hauled by 37884.

I don't know if it's true but there was some rumour that 319s can't run on some types of overhead wires without a pantograph modification.
RMT have announced strike action on 8th, 10th and 12th January (Mon, Wed and Fri) in dispute over the door and dispatch duties on the yet-to- be-built new trains.

Not heard that one. 319's have happily worked over the WCML before.

319361 and 319450 have recently gone to Wolverton (separately). Will be interesting to see if they come back in the new livery.

Services suspended between Liverpool and Wigan/Preston and between Preston and Colne today due to staff shortages.
