319450 may be out on the 1717 to Preston tonight, I emphasise may, so please don't shoot the messenger if it doesn't happen. It's done a test run to Lime St this morning.

It did do the 1717 Lime St-Preston then part of the 1930 Preston-Lime St then the 2147 Lime St-Preston
Someone's posted on wnxx that Northern have now decided to replace the seats on the 158s but the replacement seats will be a different type of seat to the ones they showed at their 'new seats roadshow'!

That's a shame, I was on a refurbed 158 the other day and the original seats with new cushions were perfectly adequate, all new seats seem to be to high so you can't see down the train to see where there are seats.
All of the new seats were designed to be side mounted, maybe that isn't suitable for a 158, presumably the new units will have the seats from the roadshow.
