Very limited service on the Mid-Cheshire line on Friday (3 return workings) but slightly better on Monday. Apparently Mid-Cheshire trains are staffed by Victoria drivers and ATW guards on strike days, meaning they have to be class 150s.

As a little compensation though, the line does appear to have a replacement bus service which appear to be more frequent than the trains on the Friday.

So turns out part of the reason for the RMT strike being called for Friday is to try and disrupt the annual Blackpool illuminations switch on.

Only minor issue with this story is that it doesn't confirm completion date which I presume is still May 2018.
