Given that St Helens now appears to be the only depot with a number of 06 plate Commanders in service how much longer are they expected to be in use given the age is just about 16 years old?
Theoretically if the vehicles are maintained well and parts continue to be available, they could be still in service ehen they are 30 years old.

It’s more because Merseytravel don’t like vehicles being over 15 years old if this wasn’t a problem they still be used a good few years yet
Just noticed on Merseytravel's website that from 24th April, Arriva are to run the evening 33's and the 35/35A are to reduce down to Hourly. Looking at the timetables, looks like they interwork.
2689 and 2691 are back here from Bolton both been out on 329/360 today.
2596 is on the 89 doing:
21:20 St Helens - Airport
22:35 Airport - St Helens
No prizes to guess who's Driving
I'm guessing it was a certain forum member driving it last night and did you go out for a Commanding ride Terrence?
2596 just spotted on London Road in the city centre, pic acquired.....it appeared to be on training duties
