Hi all sorry if been posted on the old forum but im
on 2982 on the 352 and only just noticed that what ever is used on the 352 have the the modern wayfarer 100 with the card reader
do they have to be taken off if used on any other route or do they leave them on?
Thanks in advance!
They have the card readers on them for when they interwork onto the 395 which is a route majorly inside the TfGM zone therefore requiring machines with that ability. Other routes like the 312 in Skelmersdale also require this type of machine and there is also a specific machine in depot for drivers on those routes to sign off their module on. The machines are swapped for a standard model when the vehicle is allocated elsewhere which is why it's not hugely unusual for a vehicle to be allocated to the 352/395 for an extended period.
It was down to Lancashire cc as well as they only willing to pay for passes that had some form of proof how many passes where getting used in there boundries .
Renown 2703 booked off of 33s this afternoon for failed LEDs which started working again as the fitter drove off in it! Replaced by step Scania 1044

If it is anything like it used to be whilst at Skem it is a shed! IIRC when Windsford needed marshalls from Skem, they sent 7644 and 7647 as they were two of the worst marshalls at the depot.
just had 1050 on the 10A and was a fast bus that was with a strong engine, the moment i came out of liverpool one bus station i seen it going onto man island so legged it and only just made it, i note it has got all inside adverts removed so maybe the next one to go?
in other news 2993 got pulled over by the boys in blue outside liverpool lime street SH bound on the 10
