When does tranche 1 start?
In a article in Route One magazine, the hydrogen busses will now undergo conversion to battery electric. Interesting as they said originally this could not be done.
Thanks Chris, I noticed that too it'll be interesting if they do get repowered into electrics as they'll be pretty much unused but 3 or so years old by the time they're back in service. I wonder if they'll re-reg them with dateless plates or just keep the 23/73 plates they originally got and if they'd still be bound for SH and GM after all with franchising very soon on the agenda in St Helens in 2026.
Do we know what power the Buses for Franchising will have? If its Diesel powered i could see all 20 former Hydrogen Buses going to Gillmoss

From what I heard St Helens is to receive euro 6 diesel powered vehicles

Suspect it will be a huge batch of MMCs
So its likely Gillmoss will end up with the former Hydrogen Buses since they are having Charging stations fitted
