Two 27** started off on the long 360 early this morning but one created a fault on its first trip causing it to need a bus exchange at newton station which only left one on there and that being 2707.

In reference to two b10bles being allocated to the long 360's, this wasn't the case this evening with 7634 and 7647 making up 2 of the 3 allocated vehicles on there.

I've brought up a couple of times the fact that marshalls seem to always get swapped when on a certain working of the 329 (in fact the first working from st helens in a morning). Now it seems to happen daily with whatever is allocated on that working (usually with a cadet atm). Can any of the drivers tell me why this happens? It certainly never used to happen a couple of months ago. Just curious really!

The 329 gets swapped in a morning due to it does a round trip on the 329 then when it gets back to st helens it swaps over to a 34/34A for the rest of the duty/day.
Due to an accident on the East Lancs, 34/34A are running with some extreme delays. I am currently on the service which formed the 0825 from St Helens and am only at Lowton High. We have been crawling since around Hesketh Meadow (Civic Hall turn off).
58 plated solo out on the 360 longs today.

Eventually arrived at Leigh Bus Station at 0940 - around 25 minutes late and I seen 4 34's heading towards St Helens between the East Lancs and Leigh.

Indeed - and what a terrible ride it offered! It sounded awful and it featured awful, back-breaking suspension. 2491 did, at least, three round-trips. Renown X702 DBT (2702) was also on the 10A this evening.
I managed to photograph 2491 on the 10A:

T324 PNB (2324) was on the 156 - http://www.flickr.com/photos/michael2770...2696322134

I rode on ex-Bootle T319 PNB (2319) on the 20 from St Helens to Earlestown. This was still sluggish, like it was at Bootle. It also had a lot of worrying clunking and squeaking underneath the floor... V580 DJC (2350) was alright on my return 20 - not too bad in the speed department, it sounded nice and it was free of serious rattles. I then rode on T322 PNB (2322) on the 34A back to Earlestown, which was sluggish and a bit rattly but it sounded really nice - this bus has always had a nice sound to it, in my opinion.
2269 unusually on the 320 there, the 156 is usually a Solo these days too.
Solo 720 was on the 89 this afternoon seen at Belle Vale St Helens bound at 1605

Thanks for clearing that up! Seems a very strange thing to do considering it would only have about 10 minutes layover to do a round trip on the 329!

The solo on the 360 was 677! SR on the 34/A and 680 on the 31. 2491 was on the 34/A this morning too.
4493 is parked up at front of st helens depot
