It was replaced by 2350 at 11:15 this morning, the fitter that brought the replacement also had what looked like "jump leads" but it seemed to start ok without them.
Also it has only had an external repaint not full p&p treatment.
2242 broken down today sat at Windle Island looking to be awaiting tow.

Must have swapped routes as it was on 31s this morning.
It must have broken down on the 38 leaving St Helens at 12.55 so has been off 31s since at least then. Replaced on a 37/38 day board by Pulsar 2974.
2708 and 2492 both Not in service following each other SH bound before i know 2708 was on a short 352 previously to Orrell Church st but what had 2492 come off? had it worked dead off a 395? i had seen it earlier in the day on a 352 when it passed 2259 on the 352.
Few unusual allocations today.
2969 replacing 2495 which broke down on the 38.
Pulsar 2 on the 329.
2417 on the 360 and then on the 10A this evening.
SR on the 31, presumably replacing 2242.
There was a new liveried Pulsar2 on 360 as well.
Cadet 2491 (CX54 DKF) was on the 89 this morning heading towards St Helens
2212 broke down in Leigh this morning at the St Helens Road lights in the Town Centre - not the best of places to come to grief in the right hand lane pratically stuck in middle of the road. Leigh is becoming a regular place for vehicles to have problems following 2209's failure to restart in the Bus Station a few weeks ago.
2249 on the 89's this afternoon.
