So glad to see this happening instead of them just having the back painted up. Just hope that any modifications to 2492 don't affect its speed! If they're doing this to all of the Cadets with the problem, 2490 should also receive the work at some stage and then hopefully after that, the gearbox on 2496 may finally receive some attention.
How far off completion is 2494 looking to be now?
Can't see the above post for whatever reason. Cheers Danny, i'd probably guess that too. Won't be too long before a decision is made, i'd expect it back though.
Something wrong with the forum software on longer threads Luke - if a post creates a new page, it can't bee seen until a second person posts. It's a huge pain.
It is a very huge pain, hopefully it'll be rectified shortly as it is really annoying!
Actually regarding 1042 this started out on 89s as I had a ride on it on 15:32 from Huyton-Liverpool, well it only got as far as Whiston Hospital before over heating (steam coming from offiside the bus and water dripping from underneath as well).
Also it was pure guesswork what service it was on as only the St in St Helens was showing on the front destination display with nothing showing on side or rear displays, not to sure where it came from but a Pulsar 2 in old Arriva livery seem to replaced it from St Helens
3025 is on a 34/34A duty which is normally Scania operated.
problem was not as bad as it was made out as it was defo 1042 with the other 2 interurban scanias accounted for
1044 just gone past me on 395
what luck! i will try to get a photo of that
all he said was it overheated which happend day in day out when the b6s were in operation
