So the Buses will go dead from Prenton - Liverpool then work onto the 57?

No, it will be an 18 extension to Liverpool then to a 57, the 18 timetable has been massively simplified

Looking forward to seeing the Timetables once they become available

It'll be good if the 18 went to Liverpool throughout the day...it'll be good competition with Arrivas 407

These days though competition gets you nowhere , i think the days of outward competition was in the late 80's and early 90's since then its just been in specific parts where the incumbent operators have been seeing there market share drop , or there has been an outside influence .

From April, the 144 will serve the front of Bootle Strand, and be extended to Netherton Square, should prove to be a good move

Would i get on what mostly operated by SDs which could be 10 years old plus[depending what is allocated], or mostly 3 year old DDs, hmmm, decisions decisions.

The 144 was extended to Netherton Square last year but was then cut back to Pendle Drive. I wonder if the extension is linked to the new 57 service? The original 57 service used to operate along the route of the current Arriva 58 service as far as Kirkdale Station then Melrose Road to Liverpool.

It's down to preference, I'd rather spend £2.40 for a single on a 10 year old dart from Bidston to Liverpool (that's what I got charged the first time the morning 18's got introduced) than the daylight robbery £3.50 or whatever it is on Arrivas buses...
