MCV 107, AE07DZS, was back in service today after many many months off the road
(354) KP54 BYO is now in Avon's fleet. Also ex Thurmaston Bus KU02 YBB was parked in the corner off the depot in a plain white livery.
Avon will be taking over the 202/204 service from the end of October
This certaintly now means that Avon want to get hold of Merseytravel contracts in Liverpool , so they are now a competitor to all the present Merseytravel contract holders , its a case of watch this space , i think.

There's barely any competitors left to compete with.
HTL are on their maximum disc allowance.
Cumfybus are heading into Manchester.
Maghull only do schools and the odd freeport service
Peoplesbus are downsizing due to issues with staff and comercialising the weekday 123
Presidential don't have low floor buses.
That just leaves Ace Travel and Eazibus in Liverpool alongside Stagecoach and Arriva.
On Thursday, 554 was involved in an incident whilst on a 235 at about 15:00-ish. It appeared that a car had hit it from behind and drove off when the bus was pulling into a bus-stop in Orrell Park. A bit of damage to the bus but everybody looked okay so nothing too serious thankfully.

I wonder if the morning services will start from Arrowe Park, like the 122 &143
What is the Caetano Dart in the paint shop?
Oh is somebody in the roads division of Wirral Borough Council having some more fun with Avon.
It seems that the road surface is to be resurfaced on Spital Road now , I have to admit that the road surface is horrendous on the incline up from Spital Dam towards Bromborough with numerous holes around grids being filled in and potholes forming in thye centre line of the road , basically numerous winters taking a serious toll on the road.
The 84 /85 /86 and 87 are diverted from Spital Cross Roads via Church Road , The Village , Bebington Road , Boundary Road , New Chester Road to Caldbeck Road for 84,85or 86 and Croft Avenue East for service 87. A very long way round , this will lead to some delays on the 84 and 85 as they are so tightly timed.

Routes 16/16A are also diverted as Manor Drive is temporarily closed for resurfacing, buses now run via Moreton Road to Moreton Cross then from Moreton Cross to Norwich Drive avoiding the bottom end of Manor Drive and Ford Road.
