I had a ride on the 77 before and there was someone being taught the route
It is alright route learning someone a route the question is will the driver stay at the company long enough for this to make a difference.
They need to teach a lot of drivers before the joke that is called a service returns to normal
I feel sorry for the long suffering passengers that have to rely on this company to get from A to B
I suppose some consolation is that they have actually managed to run the 30 today
What's more concerning is that there are a few late evening journeys cancelled today. During the day, it may be fine, as there could be alternative services providing indirect links, meaning people can change buses. At night, especially the last bus, there may be no alternative.
Merseytravel gave me this tweet today "We appreciate customers' frustrations and are working closely with Avon to help them resolve some issues so services are back running ASAP"
But not everyone is impressed. Someone replied with the above list "Here is a break down of today's cancellations! Hardly getting better"
And, another reply to the tweet Merseytravel sent me read as follows: "Day one of a brand Tender for No 30 service, guess what all services cancelled
Just as a note, Dart 155 SN55DVF was the bus used on route 30 last night - I did see it (while on my own 82) while it was on the 19:17 trip so assuming that was its first run it did operate at the times Merseytravel advised.
I have to say that is a pretty poor showing first day of a new contract and 37 journeys are missing if that was Arriva or Stagecoach there would probably be uproar both on here and in the press.
We appreciate customers frustrations sorry but do they really when they probably work 9 - 5 and then get in their car and drive home, and don't have to suffer the indignity of waiting for a bus that might just turn up sometime before the end of service.
I am sorry to say at this present moment in time I wouldn't even trust Avon to run a bath let alone a bus service.
