Cadet 125 had also disappeared from the fleetlist but has reappeared
D&G Bus to take over the 288 service on 8th April. The Viewing Park is to get 2 hourly service at the weekend and evening Altrincham bound journeys to serve the Freight Centre with all weekday services and some weekend services serving Airport City.
New 288 timetable:
http://dgbus.co.uk/assets/288_2018-04-08.pdf The standard pattern will see 288 services running 25 minutes after 88 services in both directions but the peak time services don't run to the standard pattern. Evening and Sunday services are also different but there's no 88 services at those times.
Not sure if relates to servicing or reallocations ahead of the timetable changes but the number of Streetlites running Wincham depot services seems to be dropping.
D&g have registered a 270 service from April, but with no destination details (and showing as unsubsidised). 270 was the proposed route number for the subsidised altrincham-East didsbury 370 replacement..... anyone know if it’s the this?

The start date of 8th April suggests it is a TfGM area service. I think I've seen 'new' registrations say 'supported by subsides: no' and then change to yes or in part when the status changes to registered. There's also a 'new' 87 showing effective from 1st April.

I wonder if the 87 could be a positioning journey (for say the 130) to offer some level of service? like Bakerbus did when they ran on the 27&99 (the first and last 99s were positions/through journeys for the 27iirc)

At one point Bakerbus ran two morning Biddulph-Congleton-Macclesfield-AstraZeneca-Knutsford services as route 27 and the reverse in the evening but I think the Biddulph-Congleton bit became a separate route, while Congleton-Macclesfield-Knutsford remained to allow for people in Congleton commuting to AstraZeneca, even after Bowers were awarded the contract.
I suspect something has changed since D&G registered the new Cheshire East contracts and commercial services to prompt the 87 registration and I doubt it relates to them winning the 288 contract as that starts a week later.
A D&G bus rep is to be present at a council meeting in Knutsford tonight so if the 87 relates to anything in the Knutsford area we'll probably hear about it later. Unfortunately, the rep isn't taking questions which haven't been submitted in advance so if the 87 isn't mentioned a question can't be asked about it.
