Is the truth that Cheshire East overlooked the existing tender finished in January?

It's possible given how incompetent Cheshire East are. However, it's also possible there was a break clause with D&G chose to activate. I'd suggest D&G no longer want to run the service, given a 2 month extension to an existing contract could be done without going through a competitive tendering process.
Streetlites seem to have invaded the 88 route this week.
As I thought D&G have changed the Wincham allocation to 6 x Streetlites and 1 x Solo 880SL (previously 6 x Solo 970SRs and 1 x Streetlite.) http://dgbus.co.uk/fleet-list.html

The Streetlites provide terrible ride quality on the poorly surfaced B5085 between Knutsford Business Park and the Wilmslow/Alderley Edge Junction.
The Tesco free bus now seem to regularly be a 13 reg Solo - presumably its capacity is needed on another part of the board, it certainly doesn't seem to be on the Tesco.

Unusualy Versa 145 was on the Adderley Green 85 turn yesterday.

And the higher spec interior isn't going to attract extra passengers on a short free service either.

How many of the vehicles used on the 85/85A come from the Crewe depot? That would seem the most logical place to put the 13 reg Solos if they aren't going to use them on the 88 anymore.
As far as I know only one is from Adderley Green, Crewe working the rest, largely with full size buses.

I thought only the 2 x ex-Routemaster Cadets and the Centro are full length 44/45 seaters at Crewe, with the rest of the Cadets being a smaller 39 seaters and the Evolutions only having one more seat than the 970SRs, despite being a bit longer.

139 and 145 were both on the 85/85A yesterday 16/12. That would suggest at least two Adderley Green workings. Saw them in both Nantwich and Crewe yesterday.

Also 102 and 104 were on the 8 in Crewe, 105 on the 32 and 106 on the 72/73 51/52/53 Nantwich locals. Caught 106 on the 1330 72 Nantwich to Whitchurch.
110, the 32 branded Solo, was in Nantwich and operated the 56 at 1300 to Tiverton.
The 13:35 Knutsford-Altrincham 88 service left 25 minutes late today and was rammed. I actually wondered whether it was the 14:05 leaving early because the driver decided it was full but it was the delayed 13:35.
130 timetable now on website

PVR of 2 and operated from Crewe.

Surprised to see Metrocity 145 on the 85 on Sunday, but note now allocated to Crewe.
