Not to sure how true this is but apparently from 12th April 130 is being extended to Manchester Airport, Wythenshawe Interchange and Wythenshawe Hospital.
Possibly utulising the 2 buses that would normally be on 288 since D&G lose them next month.

Wouldn't that mean they are competing with Stagecoach for passengers, before the airport fully reopens?
Do D&G even have the 130 long term on a contract? I thought Cheshire East diverted funds from the Better Bus Fund to keep the 130 running on a subsided basis until the end of the financial year.
I wondered if part of the reason for letting Crewe run the 82 route and not recruiting more drivers for Wincham is Wincham would have spare drivers once the 288 stops.
From what I've heard 130 will be tendered from Macclesfield-Handforth with the section onwards via Manchester Airport, Wythenshawe Interchange to Wythenshawe Hospital being run commercially.

So the obvious question is does that mean they've got a new contract/contract extension for the 130, or is it something they are looking at if they get a new permanent contract
Bustimes doesn't appear to be reporting D&G's tracking correctly at the moment. Yesterday only 3 vehicles were tracking on the 88/89, today 120 is tracking on both the 88 and 288 at the same time. One of the Enviros with airhorns did operate the 08:20 Knutsford to Altrincham, so presumably the 88 tracking is correct and the 288 tracking is incorrect.
UKBuses.co.uk is reporting D&G have two ex-Centrebus Plaxton Centros at Adderley Green.

Their was a rumour a while back they were getting 2 but then the issues at Grantham happened. It lists the former 601 and 606 but i'm sure 601 and 602 got destroyed in the fire which were the 2 meant to be transferring. 606 may be correct as is taxed but currently it says on DVLA that 601 and 602 are SORN. That site isn't always accurate i find.

Yes they certainly aren't error free. I notice 49 and 50 are still down as B21F layout, even though they are now 28 seater buses with the luggage racks from their Courtney Coaches days having been removed.
Changes to the weekday 88/89 service from 11th April:
Altrincham to Knutsford section:
08:05 Altrincham to Knutsford re-timed to run at 08:30
Knutsford to Macclesfield:
14:58 Knutsford to Macclesfield replaced by 15:58 service
15:45 Macclesfield to Knutsford replaced by 16:45 service
Knutsford to Northwich section:
16:02 Knutsford to Northwich withdrawn
16:50 Northwich to Knutsford withdrawn
Overall it looks like a cutback so one of the vehicles used on the 88/89 services can be used on the afternoon 188 working.
Also the rumoured Wythenshawe to Macclesfield 130 service is going ahead with a note that is an 'experimental venture'. Although, I've noted the first bus doesn't get into Wythenshawe until 09:20, so it won't really be a commuter service.

Those 130 times aren't the best are they really. They should have at least 1 earlier bus I think for workers.
