It was about 12:45 near the Moss Road junction on the A559 heading towards Northwich. I only saw the front but thought the registration said YJ56 - which only gives one option if it's a red bus in Cheshire. I suppose I could have misread the registration.
45 was definitely parked up not-in-use at Knutsford bus station a little earlier this morning.
45 was the Knutsford driver shunt bus today so spent all day as canteen in Knutsford.

According to the Cheshire East website, D&G are introducing a commercial Monday to Saturday service on the 38 Crewe to Macclesfield. Nothing on the D&G website as yet - they're usually pretty quick putting changes up.

They have changes in for the 82 peak trips as well on CWACC and have done for about a week. They are a bit slower than normal but then again, we are in July still. Give them till Mid August and if they aren't on by then, we know something is wrong.
One of the detested Streetlite WFs has reappeared on the 88 today. At least the 60mph section of the B5085 has been given a surface dressing, that used to be a very bad road to get a Streetlite on with many drivers driving them much slower than they needed to on that section - which I think was part of the reason D&G extended the journey times for 88 services.
The B5085 even with new dressing still isn't really suitable for national speed limit running. The Solos handle and ride far better. A wincham driver that has been working out of Crewe lately, mostly on 85s, was saying since the Streetlites have gone back to Crewe many of the issues Wincham drivers complained about have now been sorted. Bad suspension, wobbly steering and 154 was particularly bad at pulling away is now much faster.

I wasn't saying the B5085 is perfect now, only that the worst section has been improved.
There have been occasions where Streetlites have struggled with small gentle hills in Knutsford and those are nothing compared to the hills encountered on the 82.
DF Streetlite 57 has been on the 82 this past week and has mixed views from drivers. One of the enthusiast drivers at Wincham used it and was impressed saying it's a vast improvement over the WF version. However other drivers dislike it and hope the rest aren't moving to Wincham.

The 38 is timed to run 5 minutes ahead of Arriva's 37 between Crewe and Sandbach in both directions.
