An article about the 300's finances in the Knutsford Guardian:

No one has reported it thus far so I will...

D&G have taken over the Stoke-on-Trent based #500 Norton - Trentham Lakes & Plumline service from Wardle Transport as of the 4th January. To Work the service Wardle Transport Versa 2963 has transferred to D&G and has taken the number 174. The First days service was operated by D&G Solo 141. as far as I know all services since the 6th of January have been worked by D&G 174.
It's good to see that d&g are finally fitting their buses with all round LED displays. However they desperately need to replace some of their darts particularly 188/192 as both these pair look pretty wrecked now.
I am a bit confused as to the geographical strategy of D&G. It seems they started out with an operation in Crewe then expanded into Stoke-on-Trent. They sold this to Arriva Wardle then acquired nearby BakerBus in the area. Likewise, they bought Midland Choice then sold this to Arriva, having just named it Midland. In the meantime they have bought SLT but just sold this to Rotala. I guess they just trial operations as they feel appropriate.
d&g have agreed to buy wardle transport from arriva, takeover date is Saturday 9th may
Apparently Arriva approached D&G about 3 months ago to try and offload Wardle Transport to them. It is also believed that D&G divested SLT to Rotala to raise some finances to buy Wardle.

Seems to be convenient for all parties involved. SLT was a bit of an oddball geographically for D&G and Wardle was quite a bit out of Arriva's territory.
D&G say they won't be running the contracted 9 and 10A Macclesfield area services from June.

SLT is even more geographically remote for Rotala than it was with regard to D & G.
