There's a Streetlite on the 88 today which departed Knutsford at 10:05.
Confirmed that the cancellation of the 85 was an error.
Noticed on the fleet list page three brand new Solo SRs have joined the fleet and apparently have a 'Leighton Link' livery, so they must be for either the 12 or 42 service. While four of the recently acquired 09 reg Enviro 200s have moved to Adderley Green.

The Leighton Link is for the Service 12

I thought the 12 would be the most suitable service to brand as 'Leighton Link' but I also thought as a new 5 year contract has recently been awarded for the 42 route then the new buses might be for that service. It appears the 42 service is being/has been transferred to the Adderley Green depot.
Presumably the 12 chosen as it competes with Arriva 6.
Travelled on one of their Streetlites on the 88 route today. They really aren't designed for routes which include running on roads where a 60mph speed limit applies!
I tried to catch one of these Solo SR's on route 12 today (working off a 1A at Crewe Rail Station) and the driver said, sorry, have to take it out of service, the doors don't work (driver had to leave the cab to open them).
So I caught the next bus instead and D&G got no custom from me today.
Hopefully this is just a teething problem.
Common problem with Solos including SRs with doors not opening or closing from Cab, caused by the fact the sensor wears through quicker as its one pressure pad to open and close the doors on Solos and probably Versas's.
Not entirely sure but i'd imagine it'll not be long now till D&G start withdrawing the few remaining darts that are working around the stoke/hanley areas. Most seem to be ex arriva judging by the interiors, the long wheelbase optare versas they use on the buxton - hanley route are really smart though.
