There's new drivers being trained on the 88 this week. For some reason they are doing driver change overs by the old Ilford Works in Mobberley rather than at Knutsford bus station!
D&G's website shows which depot works which route.
A driver swap was also taken place at Wilmslow RS yesterday. It was an absolute nightmare as I seen not 1 but 2 of the Knutsford services with Altrincham on both the front and side blinds and then the Altrincham one still had Knutsford on the side!

Looked to be back to normal this morning and also featured a welcome return back to the area of ex Go Goodwins YJ60KFG. Looking a lot better presented than 4x 13 plate SR's noted on Tuesday.
I also observed all 3 of the new "Leighton Link" Solo SR's in Crewe on route 12 yesterday. If unreported they are 46-48 YJ66AOV/W/X.

I think it's only a matter of time till one of these strays off onto the 88.
Hope YJ60 didn't do a peak time service via Waters. People complain about the SRs being a squeeze on those. Although, with having air horns if the taxis at Wilmslow station were blocking the bus route then they might have had a shock when the driver sounded the horn!

I had to tell a driver the other week he had the wrong destination on the display.

What kind of interiors do these have? They appear to be the shorter type - more like YJ11 OGZ than the 13 reg ones or DG64 BUS.

I couldn't tell as they all went straight passed me.
99 service is to be cutback from 9 return workings to 7 return workings from 29th January: http://dgbus.co.uk/assets/99_2017-01-29.pdf

While the 12E service is being revised to include an additional return working to Leighton Hospital: http://dgbus.co.uk/assets/12%2c12e_2017-01-29.pdf
Something different on the 88 again today, this time Wright Streetlite 155 MX11EGE.

The Streetlites made a few appearances last November but I'm not sure if MX11EGE was one of those that appeared on the route or not. They seem to have become the regular type of bus on the 300 route since New Year again after Enviro 200s were used most days towards the end of last year.
