Something which I think some people don't realise is that HE have still got morning peak journeys on 86, I asked a friend of mine about this the other week when I saw him and he assured me that he's sure he's seen running boards for these journeys in depot at HE when he's been going through them.
As for 231 from what I can gather HE do most of them on Saturdays for some reason as one particular duty on X57 roster involves the driver doing a couple of 76s in the morning then a meal break and then doing a couple of 231s

I didn't realise they did most 231's on a Saturday, although it might explain why more Enviro400's tend to creep onto 217/218's and 346/347's then.
I know quite often late afternoon when I'm coming home from work it's often the case that Hybrids can be seen on the 231 heading towards Manchester, so I'm assuming it works a 219 to Ashton then a 231 back to Manchester.
I think 21241's livery fits in Stagecoach terms the age of the vehicle - the Enviro style doesn't like right to me.
21238 looks the best with the white separating the two shades of blue.
