Stagecoach Manchester had various problems to contend with yesterday causing massive delays to services throughout the day:
1> Oxford Street closed, this apparently was causing problems throughout the day and not just at rush hour with services running between 30-40mins late
2> Due to an incident on M60 J11 clockwise in the afternoon which closed 2 lanes of traffic this created traffic jams all round Trafford Centre and Trafford Park causing delays to 250/X50 services, additional vehicles were apparently sourced to keep the 250/X50 services running as services running extremely late due to traffic finding alternate routes to avoid the problems on M60
Which not very clever person decreed that the heating should be on on the buses I went on today? The result being that due to all the lengthy holdups with all the interminable roadworks in so many places meant that the discomfort for travelling passengers became even worse because of the longer than usual journeys. Thanks a bundle.
Saw 10618 route marked for 23/23A/24 although it wasn't as dramatic as many other versions

It is an issue with MANs. When Ashton had double figures of them some years back now they were notourious for having the heating on full whack in the summer. Drivers always seemed to blaim engineers lol. But to be fair in the winter months the S,T and X reg MANs were lovely and warm compared to the cold Enviro400's.

Heaters working on hot summer days is all too common with many operators, and on many types of bus.

The last people they consider are the passengers.

17671 still alive and kicking, making a rather unusual appearance on the final 111 out of Piccadilly Gardens.
19326 left just after it on the 85 in it's striking Deepwater Horizon ad livery.
