New addition to the Lakes open top fleet?

Possible, especially when you consider that there are still open-top Olympian's in service in the Lakes. Unless an Open-top is required down south somewhere.

A post on another forum by a stagecoach employee suggests that the online stagecoach employee magazine has reported that the first 31 are for AZ (216/330) then 9 for HE (250/X50) followed by 13 for ST (23/23A).
The confusing bit has been that HE have rushed the first few into service as some of their own buses are working away but this week may see the first few enter service at Ashton, but allocations shouldn't settle down until after Parklife as all the MMCs (old and new) are expected to be used.

Following both your posts, I have since Thursday seen 10578/79/81/85 on route 330 and 10578 again on route 216. This would appear to confirm the 31 to AZ for these routes. It seems rare for Stagecoach Manchester to allocate new double-deckers to a route not serving central Manchester, but I believe it is the most frequent such route.

I think excluding the 219 which has it's own buses the 216/330 are Ashton's busiest and most frequent services. Although widely reported at these were and are for 216/330 as in normal Ashton style one was allocated to 236/7 evening peak on Friday and one made a brief appearance on the 236 very early (Saturday) morning.

eve peak 330s 231s and 347s all have at least one board that becomes a 236/7 between 5/7 pm 345 also goes onto 236 at 5pm

It's normally worked by a MAN during the week which also does the school service but it's not uncommon to see Enviro400's or even the Trident used.
Seen the trident plaxton president deckers out this week again, both seem to be performing very reliably & are being well cared for by the looks of them.
19266 is on the 183 today
Noted 10581 on the 219 today.
