There are two sites on Daw Bank, one of which is the depot.
The other is the Stagecoach support centre, where certain back office functions are carried out (such as IT, payroll etc) for the whole of the Group. It is the address where the Stagecoach bus companies all have their legal registered address, and due to the proximity of Stockport to Manchester, in a way makes sense to have the license registered there.

Oh! It makes more sense now xD. Cheers for explaining it to me (:
Can anyone confirm to me that the company that complained to the Competition Commission about First/Stagecoach Wigan was Arriva? Mainly .... St Helens/Southport??? Haven't heard anything regarding the Bolton Side i've heard off three reliable sources in the bus industry now but its mainly relating to the 628 competing with the 375/385/395/352 between Pem/Wigan and Destroying the Arriva Competition? and Arriva cant offer a Competitive ticket so complained about the takeover?
Heard Stagecoach are considering Deckering the 628 if loadings carry on the way they are or At least Upgrading it to Full Size Buses Permanently the price difference between Arriva/Stagecoach is a Joke.
There have been numerous suggestions of who has complained, three different names have been suggested since the referral took place.

From my visits to the Wigan area I'd have to say the 621/628 are a lot busier than when first had them , I think the pricing being the main reason. The 631/2 and 658 also appear to have increased loadings since sc took over.
Bad day for the Enviros in Wigan today, two have broken down and it's not even midday yet - one was parked up dead outside the co-pp in Bryn heading in the Wigan direction and was swapped for 13808 R438ULE on the 610 that went onto 658s, and I've just seen MX62LCG dead at the Esso garage in Ashton-in-Makerfield although it seems to be moving without anything on the destination display! Reliable new buses eh!
