I do agree with you though that multi operator fares in general do help keep fares lower. Surrey Independants have the worst fares in my opinion. Carlone I think it is on their 20 minute Staines to Heathrow trip, £24. You can get a System One Anybus weekly for less than that!

No they don`t own fully they have a share in it and have no controlling power but they do the admin for all the companies in system one. with most of the big groups having a member as a Director

All observations i notcied still showed re-routed routes on old routes (7 on bus plates between Reddish Morrisons & South Reddish Halfords), and withdrawn routes still on plates! (309/310/329) No mention of a 7A or 7B, and im sure theres a few 308/312 ones knocking about too.

On another note, due to the withdrawl of services from stand Q in stockport bus station (309/310/312), tfgm have decided to move the 199 to Buxton to use this stand. Why the 328 which has replaced some of these services, and ventures the same way as the 313 was not moved across seems daft. Maybe that was too easy!
TFGM don't link routes to stands by end destination, they link by the corridor the routes run out from the relevant bus station.

Point being that if companies wanted to, they could still throw the prices of SystemOne sky high so that the operator specific tickets can go higher. SystemOne doesn't necessarily keep prices low as it priced by the operators. For the best example of keeping fares really low as a result of multi operator tickets, you would be looking at Merseytravel.
64 Plate Enviro200s at Stockport are back on the road this week. 19221, 19222, 19225, 19226 and 19227 have gone on loan to Sheffield to cover Supertram Replacements.

Even Warrington Buses appear to have a presence on the board

And they would have to vote on it and a number of the companies don't have there own weekly's then it takes 1 to say no we will do a cheap week ticket and then system one does not work as people would not buy it. There was once the GM Buses Daysaver that GMS and GMN could of carried on. and same with first day tickets could of had a agreement to keep DNW / GNW as part of the First day group like Sheffend does. with stagecoach and first having joint tickets. also TFGM has a say on System one with Metrolink

Wasn't there a case where due to First Manchester having a weekly ticket of £18, the SystemOne prices were more expensive (apart from the Young Person / Student tickets) until they reduced the price.
The oddest thing was that at one time bus plus train was considerably cheaper than the bus plus tram, despite the considerably smaller tram network.

The odd thing is that Bus Times continue to show Grove Lane as the destination when all but two early buses don't go down it [and haven't for some time].They go down Stanley Rd instead. This has been pointed out but they just ignore it and carry on getting it wrong.

The public haven't got a chance with this continuing utter shambles from all.

Isn't there Government subsidiary with rail, whereas the Metrolink is (pre-COVID) self-funded?
I know that the County Card is cheaper which includes bus, train and tram Zone 1 than the bus & tram ticket.
