Where did those 2 unusual looking vehicle come from? Weren't they based at Ashton in the past as I am sure I have seen them out and about on 217/218

Well... Yes they have been based at AZ since Charles ST shut down and have been used on and off since mainly on the 217/218 and before that the 7.
They of course originated from Mayne's and there future in the Manchester fleet over the years has looked bleak at times but they always seemed to have hung on. They haven't operated for a good month now at AZ so nice to see them doing their bit at Middleton.
On a separate note, has the Middleton fleet received standard Stagecoach ticket machines yet?? I saw one of the Stagecoach ALX Darts on the 395 in Ashton today (complete with working destinations) but couldn't quite see which machine it had.

Vehicles being delivered after 1st March had their registrations changed from MX62 to MX13.
Wigan Gemini's have started moving north of the border to Fife.

I'm glad to see the back of the Gemini's. We've still got 5 more at Wigan. I went on one this morning and it was awful. The purple leather look seats are just horrible. How First have put up with them for so long I don't know.

33174 was on the 342/344 today. This was an old friend formerly based at Stockport. I remember it used to have a problem when the doors opened, in that it slammed against the front of the bus. Thought I'd have a quick ride on it to see if it had improved since last year. Today, the doors made a loud squeaking noise as they opened, before again slamming against the front of the bus.
