I received an email from Stagecoach Manchester to say they are going exact fare or contactless only from Monday.

Other operators including Arriva have decided this too.

I saw 11505 on route 42a yesterday. This is the first 20-reg bus I have seen in the metal anywhere.

It is part of the batch 11504-55 due for routes 192 & 197 (according to Buses magazine and perhaps already highlighted here). Route 42a is run by Stockport rather than Hyde Road on Sundays.

11508 is in service today on the 192 which indicates more than 3 are now here obviously. It is tracking on Bus Times as 18358.

Another Enviro400 Hybrid suffered an engine fire yesterday outside ASDA Eastlands.
From the photos posted on a local group it looks like 12019.
Not sure how bad the fire was but the fire brigade were in attendance.

Doesn't appear to of caught the public eye as much as some in the past.
